Hello World!

I am Nuraiyad Nafiz Islam. Currently working as a Software Engineer at Spectrum Software and Consulting Ltd. at Dhaka, Bangladesh. Before beginning my career as a software engineer I completed my graduation in Computer Science and Engineering(CSE) from Bangladesh university of Engineering and Technology(BUET) in May 2023. I am currently pursuing my M.Sc. From the same university.

In my professional life I work with Computer Vision and Document Understanding Models. My tasks mostly revolves around exploring, experimenting and implementing various state of the art machine/deep learning models and convert it as a service for software integration. I mostly code in Python in my professional life, but have experience with C, C++, Java.

I am currently exploring the world where we teach machines to understand our language(NLP). My research interest lies in Applied Machine Learning and Human Computer Interaction(HCI).

I am not a big fan of dark mode of anything. Even my terminal is light-themed(stay away from my machine if you have OCD!). When you can't find me in front of any screen or setup, you will probably find me in the kitchen, trying out some Indian/Bengali street or traditional food. Or, I might be exploring a new tourist place or traveling. If you are interested, knock me to talk about history, movies, secret societies or conspiracy theories(whether they’re real or not😉).
